What makes or enables a person to amass sufficient wealth to attain the status of being a millionaire? This is a question that crosses the mind of many an individual as he or she endeavours to find that elusive formulae that will enable him or her to achieve that desired end. Comparatively few ever attain the status of millionaire and most never seem to get past the very first point of the intended journey. The development of a millionaire mindset. Surveys have determined that wealth obtained either through inheritance or the winning of some lottery or contest is usually squandered, the end result for those who have recieved this wealth to be in the same or even worse position than when they started. Numbers games so often advertised on television or radio usually depict winners being able to spend money on pleasurable pursuits for virtually the rest of their lives, but, rarely ever advise those winners on a wise usage of won or inherited wealth. A survey by Thomas Stanley in his book "The Millionaire mind" noted that most millionaires do not lead extravagent lifestyles. A 10 year study into more than 100 millionaires by Australian business consultant Brian Sher Points out that that there is a commonality between the thought patterns of the very wealthy. In his book "How to make Money Out of Thin Air" Brian gives 10 points of attitude present in the minds of the wealthy. Reuben Buchanan, principle of the "Wealth Creator" magazine noted that some 60 percent had no intention of being successful at what finally created their wealth. he also noted that many battled for over 20 years before finding the key that worked. Mr Buchanan then noted that the wealth then followed within a comparatively short period of time and that only a small percentage had university training of any kind. Having noted the previous comments, attaining millionaire status is not for the most part the result of some blind form of luck but involved the characteristics of diligence, inegrity, discipline and the ability to get along and work with people. Wealth also, for the most part is the product of the work of more than any single individual and the ability to work with others ir paramount.
